Art Composition Process

Art Composition Process

When creating something, I find it best to let it come from the flow of your normal day. You have to be able to repeat the process continually. If it is too much of stretch, you might not be able to practice your craft with the regularity required to make the audience feel something when looking at your creation. And feeling something is the settling point I often search for in my art. There are times when that is intentional and times when that is unexpected. Some of my art is a surprise to me because the intended end result, well, it never got there, something else came first.

An avid bicyclist, I take my camera with me and when I see forms that I enjoy I stop and try to photograph them. This one is a mix of a chain wire barrier on a bike trail bridge mixed with photos of the sky just beyond it.

Thanks,
